Stop 1

The Dock

My absolute favorite spot for morning adventures. The dock stretches out into Lake Houston, giving you stunning sunrise views and prime fishing access. Early risers will find me here watching the mist rise off the water, tail wagging at every bass that jumps.

Community Picnic

Where the magic happens! There are great picnic spots around the property for gathering with family, friends and the community. Bring your baskets and invite your neighbors for a pot-luck picnic, and enjoy the fellowship!

The Shoreline Walk

A gentle path that hugs Lake Houston's edge, perfect for morning walks or evening strolls. This is where I taught myself to skip stones (okay, I just chase them). The shoreline changes with the seasons - peaceful in summer, dramatic when the wind picks up.

Woodland Trails

Step away from the lake into shaded forest paths. These trails wind through native Texas trees, offering cool shade on hot days and a completely different perspective of the resort. It's where I practice my tracking skills (mostly tracking squirrels, honestly).

The trails connect to the entire resort - use them as shortcuts or just wander aimlessly like I do. Both strategies work.

Secret Spots

Every great resort has them - those quiet corners only locals know about. A bench with the perfect sunset view. A clearing where wildflowers bloom in spring. The spot where the fish always bite. I could tell you where they are... but then they wouldn't be secret.

Here’s the secret about the Arlo Trail – it’s not really about the places. It’s about the people you meet along the way. The early morning dock fishers who become friends. The families at the firepit who welcome you in. The fellow trail walkers who stop to chat (and pet me, hopefully).
